PARKLAND. Fla. (CBS12) — It’s been five years since 17 lives were lost in the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in 2018.

In Coral Springs, the Eagles Haven Wellness Center hosted an event that focused on love and service.

Eagles Haven is a community wellness center created solely and mindfully for the MSD/Eagles community.

“We are all here today because we all wish we could ease their pain even if just for a moment,” said the emcee of Tuesday’s event.
